BIRTHPLACE: Akron, OH
Q: What do you like to depict in your artwork the most?
A: I like to depict the things that no one thinks about. The true concept of self and emotions is something I often incorporate in my artwork. Knowing and understanding myself is important to me.
Q: What inspires your art?
A: Everything around me can be inspirational. However, beauty and human beings inspire me the most.
Q: What purpose does art serve for you?
A: It’s a voice for me to express myself. Without art, I don’t think I would be me.
Q: What is your favorite art medium?
A: I like to use oil paint. You can make a painting look more realistic, vibrant and the colors blend easily. My brain is just in tune with using oil paint now that sometimes, I try to use the same techniques I use for oil when I use acrylic paint.
Q: What are some of your future goals?
A: I want to have my own tattoo shop, an art gallery, and a night club. I would also like to start up my own clothing line. I want to have my own alcohol too, with a nice painting design on the bottle.
Q: Does the summertime have any effect on your art?
A: Yes it does, because of the sun. People are outside more, so there’s more to get inspired by in the summertime. The whole vibe is just bright.
Q: Who is your favorite artist? Why?
A: Salvador Dali is my favorite artist. His dreamlike, surreal landscapes always interested me. Most of my artwork includes surreal landscapes and little stick figures in the background. In a Dali painting, there is always more than meets the eye, so I try to include details like that in my artwork too.
Q: What do you want to communicate through your art?
A: I want people to feel something from my art. I want someone to remember something that they forgot a long time ago when they see my work.
Q: Describe your work in 3 words.
A: Surreal. Dreamlike. Esoteric.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
A: Hopefully, a successful artist. I want to be happy and not have many worries. I want to be able to paint my dreams for an open minded audience.
