ORIGIN: AKRON, OH
RAPPER & SINGER
Q: What was life like for you growing up in Akron?
I moved away from Akron when I was 3 to Columbus and came back when I was 12. My time spent here was cool, I met my best friends here and experienced middle class living.
Q: When did you start rapping and singing?
I started singing when I started talking and starting rapping when I was 15.
Q: What is your favorite childhood song and why?
I’d have to say Outstanding by The Gap Band and Hail Mary by Tupac. I knew every word to both of those songs at 7 or 8 years old. They both did something to my DNA.
Q: What inspires your music?
However I’m feeling at that moment.
Q: How would you describe your style?
I don’t know honestly; I let other people do it for me. My favorite description I’ve gotten so far is “real b**** anthems.”
Q: How does where you come from affect your music?
I don’t think where I come from affects my music. My life, experiences, moods, and phases affect my music.
Q: When and how did you become apart of Blak Klan?
I became apart of Blak Klan in 2014, and they’re some of the best artists in the city, I’m one of the best artists in the city. It was only right, and Vello made it happen. Shout out to my brothers, I love them to death.
Q: What defines you as an artist?
It’s funny because really don’t know how to answer these type of questions. I just do whatever I feel like doing. I know I’m the s***, and I can pretty much make any style or type of music. I’m really a rockstar, even before this whole “rockstar” wave. I’ve always just did what I wanted to do with no regrets. I just want to have fun and feed my family.
Q: What are 3 of your songs that we should be up on?
I only have 4 songs on my soundcloud so be up on all that! The new songs I’m dropping are going to be insane, though.
Q: What are some of your short and long term goals for your career?
Short and long term goals are have fun and feed my family. Fame and recognition are going to come with the territory. I was created for it.
Q: As a woman in a male dominated industry, have you had to overcome any obstacles?
No, being a woman actually makes it easier, especially because I’m sexy. *shrugs* I get more support from men, surprisingly.
Q: What can we expect from you this summer?
Expect new, raw music and projects outside of my music career. Expect for me to be looking like an academy award GLOWING out this bitch, expect me to let it all out this summer.
Q: Who is your favorite musical artist? Who is your favorite artist or designer?
I don’t have a favorite musical artist to be honest. I go through phases where I really rock with somebody for that time. My favorite artist is Ken (@k3n.doll on IG), and I don’t have a favorite designer right now. However, Jeremy Scott is mad cute this season, and I’d like to be Gucci’s brand ambassador one day.
Q: What is your favorite thing about making music?
I like when it’s fun and free flowing. Sometimes, it isn’t fun, so I take a break from it. When everything starts flowing again, I hop back on it.
Q: What is one thing you want the world to remember you for?
The world is going to remember me for everything. I’m a mogul.
