BIRTHPLACE: Cleveland, Ohio
Q: Would you consider yourself more of a model or an artist?
A: I would definitely describe myself as more of an artist than a model, because I love to paint, dance and be creative in general. I think all of that including modeling are different aspects of what an artist is capable of doing.
Q: When did you realize you liked being photographed?
A: I realized in 9th grade. I went to CSA (Cleveland School of Arts), and photography majors would sometimes use me as their models for projects. I enjoyed being the muse. At that moment is when I realized like, “Yep! I want to take this serious now.”
Q: What opportunities has modeling brought you?
A: Modeling has given me the opportunity to collaborate with different creatives and make so much magic! It’s really amazing to see what you’ve worked on or dreamt of come to life.
Q: How does love impact you as an artist and model?
A: Love, as an artist, is a very inspiring emotion. Love can make you feel so bright and powerful. When you take that feeling and start to create, you may surprise yourself. This doesn’t just go for loving someone else; it applies to self-love as well. As a model, you need a lot of confidence so accepting your flaws and what you have going on is the first step at achieving that.
Q: What is the most creative shoot you have ever done?
A: My most creative photoshoot was actually one I did with you (Khrystian)! It was titled, “RoRo Goes on An Adventure,” and we pinned 2 bandanas together and made it into a top.
Q: Do you ever find it difficult to be a young model?
A: I think it is extremely difficult as a young model, because I struggle with constantly trying to prove that I have just as much potential as an older model. There’s some shoots that I just can’t attend, because they’re looking for girls 18 and older, so I have to be very patient.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My style is very versatile, because it literally just depends on how I’m feeling when I wake up that morning. I’m very inspired by the 90s, though. I love baggy clothes and bamboo earrings, and the poppin’ gold chains. I also love stuff that you don’t always see, like platform shoes or a really cool jacket or hoodie. The Goodwill and Forever 21 are my favorite places to shop.
Q: Name three things you love about modeling.
A: 3 things I love about modeling: 1.) The whole idea of bringing an idea to life, 2.) the opportunities and connections it brings, and 3.) The super cute and creative outfits I get to wear!!
Q: Who or what inspires you the most?
A: I’m inspired a lot by female bosses in general, the grind and journey it takes to achieve your dreams is very intriguing it just makes you want to work harder and when you see them achieving their goals it’s like “wow,I wanna feel that!”
Q: What are some of your greatest goals/dreams?
A: My biggest dream is to model for Fenty Puma by Rihanna and walk in a show during NYFW. Aside from modeling, I want to sell my paintings and think of new ways to express myself through art.
Q: What is your favorite love song?
A: “My Song” by H.E.R is definitely my fave at the moment. Love songs are my favorite type of songs, so it changes all the time.
Q: If you could model for anyone, who would it be?
A: If I could model for anyone, it’d be Kanye West for a Yeezy project or fashion show. I love the tactics he uses to get an audience’s attention.
