BIRTHPLACE: Akron, Ohio
Q: What do you like to depict in your photos the most?
Q: What inspires your art?
A: Going through life inspires my art. There’s so much inspiration in life. Just take a drive and explore. You will see some of the most amazing things. Yo.. God is so raw 🙂 He’s the greatest artist ever!
Q: What purpose does art serve for you?
A: The purpose is simply to create my way of art the way I want to without restrictions or boundaries.
Q: What are your favorite things to photograph?
A: People with style and interesting features. I love facial portraits. People are beautiful in their own way. It’s super tight.
Q: What are some of your future goals and aspirations?
A: I want to make Sam and Friends, a group I’ve created with a few of my friends, a full production team. I want to shoot for magazine covers, commercials, and IKEA would be tight to shoot for. I also want to do a Fader photo spread. Altogether, I just want to continue to inspire people, spread love, and get more people to do what they love to do.
Q: What Is your favorite thing about summer?
A: Sunsets. I was with my girl the other day coming back from dinner, and this sunset was so good. It just stopped raining, and I remember vividly how it looked. It was like cotton candy skies. I had a song playing called “Theme of an Angel” by The Stairsteps. When I saw that sunset, it became a memory that will be remembered forever. Check that song out. It’s literally one of the greatest interlude songs I have ever heard in my life.
Q: Who is your favorite designer, artist, and/or photographer? Why?
A: Yikes, there are so many. Let’s start with my favorite artist, Tyler the Creator. What can’t this dude do? He’s a Genius. I guess he is both my favorite artist and designer. I love Tyler as a designer as well, because he makes gear that I like to rock. He makes certain clothing that is just amazing to me, and his color palette is A1. Even though he really doesn’t call himself a designer, I think it’s cool that he has no limitation to what he designs clothing wise. He just does it so effortlessly. Currently, my favorite photographer is Petra Collins. Look her up. She has such a amazing eye for visuals, and the way she sets up her shoots are out of this world to me. It’s similar to some early 70’s photography. There’s this horror movie from the 70’s called Carrie, and in one scene she’s walking home from school after being tortured during a previous mishap. There is shot where you see her walking, but there is also a kid on a bike going in between the trees onto the sidewalk while she’s walking. It’s so fire! Reminds me of Petra’s work.
Q: What do you want to communicate through your art?
A: Love and happiness. I want people to see my art and be like I CAN DO THIS. I can be that painter, photographer, or whatever I want to be. BE JUST THAT.
Q: Describe your work in 3 words.
A: Intriguing, Colorful, and me.
Q: How has photography impacted your life?
A: Photography has impacted me in so many ways. It’s opening me up to be more of a people person and a more confident and creative person. It has made me think so out of the box beyond the norm. It’s made me appreciate life even more.
Q: What is the most creative thing you have ever done?
A: I have created music from scratch with no musical teaching. Basically, just did it by trusting my ear. By the way, I have an EP coming out very soon with some gems on it. Stay tuned 🙂
Q: What would they serve you at your ideal summer cookout?
A: The whole nine. ribs, hamburgers, hot dogs, Grandma’s potato salad, my mother’s fruit salad, greens, mac and cheese. And I need Simply Peach Juice to wash it down.
