Q: What do you like to depict in your artwork of the most?
My favorite things to depict in my art would have to be any anime or cartoons I grew up on as a kid. I also love hip hop culture so there’s a lot of that in my work as well.
Q: What purpose does art serve for you?
Art is the purpose in my life, and I don’t know where I’d be without it.
Q: What is your favorite art medium?
My favorite mediums to use would have to be acrylic paint, Prismacolor, and Copic markers.
Q: Future goals and aspirations?
Future goals and aspirations for myself would be either a comic illustrator or cartoonist. I’d love to write and draw my own stories for a living.
Q: What do you like most about spring?
The 70-degree weather is perfect to me, and I like that flowers start to grow in my neighborhood.
Q: Who is your favorite artist? Why?
My favorite artist/story writers would have to be Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball, and Masashi Kishimoto the creator of Naruto. I just love their styles of art. They inspired me to get serious about my craft.
Q: What do you want to communicate through your art?
I want to communicate creativity and nostalgia through my artwork, I want other people my age to think back to adolescent times when seeing my work.
Q: Describe your work in 3 words.
Creative, Relatable, Nostalgic.
Q: What is the most creative thing you have ever done?
When it comes to my art, I think the most creative things I’ve done would be all my mash-up work. Sometimes, I like to mix hip hop and Japanese anime culture together for one, or multiple pieces. The two things I love put together in one piece.
Q: If you weren’t an artist, what would be your plan B?
If I wasn’t an artist, my plan b would easily be to rap. I’d probably be a mumble rapper, it seems fun.
